Pilgrim Atlanta Development (PAD), Inc’s mission is to promote self-sufficiency through personal development. Our motto is "Empowering Change by Empowering the People.”

 

PAD was founded by Dr. Kent Branch to establish and fulfill a void for those in need of assistance and referrals for transitional housing. The leaders and volunteers have committed their time, and talent, in collaboration with community business partnerships to provide clothing and food to those who need.

 

Since 2008, Pilgrim Atlanta Development has successfully executed an informative community outreach project which impacts more than 100 families. The overall purpose of the project is to provide referrals and/or services of housing, health and wellness, social services, adult senior care, education, personal care, clothing, food, free medical screenings and employment transitional services to individuals of low to moderate levels of socioeconomic status in the DeKalb County community. Health and wellness activities are provided through partnerships with local health agencies and the Department of Public Health and are followed by referrals to appropriate care.
